I had a wonderful time at Belk's Bridal Show in Columbia, SC yesterday. It was great to be able to meet brides and chat with other wedding vendors. I love being able to go out in the community.
"Working through The Cultivated Heart workbook has shown me, over and over again, that I consider the people in my life the most important, but my actions do not match that value. Having the workbook to physically show me I need to work on cultivating my relationships and being a part of the Facebook group to keep me focused and accountable has really been helpful in making progress."
Today, I'm over at The Cultivated Heart talking a bit about business and how I use The Cultivated Heart workbook to cultivate a life filled with what matters most.
I am excited to say that Leen Machine Calligraphy prints are available at Silver Spoon Bake Shop here in Columbia, South Carolina.
Erin, the owner, is so sweet and if you're looking for great coffee, delicious baked goods, and a quiet place to meet friends or do some work, make sure to check them out! I know I can't visit there without leaving with a boxed of baked goods, that's for sure.
Also, please excuse Iphone photo quality above.
When I started Leen Machine back in 2010, nowhere did I plan to change everything so the main focus of my business is calligraphy. It wasn't even a skill I knew of yet.
It began with an online class and the rest, as they say, is history. I slowly fell hard for calligraphy and it saved me from my chicken scratch handwriting.
Calligraphy has taught me two important things:
1. It will never be perfect but even with its imperfections, it is beautiful just the way it is.
2. Slowing down is key. No matter what's going on around me, calligraphy soothes my soul and forces me to slow down.
Calligraphy brings me such joy and I'm extremely grateful to be able to share it with others.
For fun, here's a look back at the evolution of Leen Machine.
