This girl. I don't even recognize her, but I'm so glad she took a chance back in August 2013 to go to Amber Housley's Inspired. It was my first creative conference and I went without knowing anyone. I had a dream of turning my stationery business full time but I didn't know how. At the conference, I found people just like me and that's when I began to believe.
I wrote those words on that board - the advice I would have given myself when I first started out. If you had told me then that not even two years later I would leave my day job - my last day is today - to do my business full time, I wouldn't have believed you. And to do it with calligraphy, instead of stationery? I was just starting calligraphy then, as a hobby nonetheless.
Looking back, things started to shift when I began to believe that it's possible. I had to get out of my own head, take consistent action, and put myself out there. I'm excited for this next chapter, but for now, I'm going to savor every bit of today. I can't believe it's here. Because by the grace of God, my dream came true.
